"On the road again....."

August – September  2024

Summer is waning…. I see the end coming up quickly.  There is almost a little sadness in the air when we start planning our “Labor Day Weekend”…. I love the idea of a ‘restart”…. I love the idea of “cooling down” towards fall; however, I shall certainly miss these hot and sultry summer days that remind me that life is taking a little break… to relax and breathe easily.  When fall arrives… we tend to jump onto a more vigorous schedule.  I am preferring the slower existence more and more these days.  I am going to enjoy these last few weeks of summer.

I am taking a short 2 week vacation with my hubby and heading south to hike some of the National Parks in Utah/Arizona and New Mexico.  I’m really looking forward to Monument Valley and discovering more ancient historical petroglyphs in the southwest and Chaco Canyon Historical Park area and more places in and around Albuquerque, and Santa Fe, New Mexico. …. Before heading off to see family in Colorado Springs, the last week…that runs right on through Labor Day weekend.  We will be one of the many thousands traveling on the roads making our way home from our “holidays” in the desert southwest.

I’m hoping a little getaway…. will help transition into the “season after Labor Day”…. LOL, it’s all good.  I’ll be back at the YMCA in Caldwell, Idaho in no time….jumping into classes that I love to teach, Yoga, Pilates, and Silver Sneakers.  We also have the “Golden Games” coming up near the end of September (and I’ll be involved helping with the exercise walk competitions) and of course there are many artsy activities in September….  And I do love attending those.  Enjoy the rest of your summer dear friends… and we’ll continue this journey together into the fall season very soon.  Namaste’
