How can it be December already?

I noticed immediately, that my last "Blog" post was about our Southwest trip over Labor Day Weekend and beyond. It looks like I have totally skipped over the fall season. How could that happen? Well, as they say "Life gets in the way, while you are busy living life?" It's true....as much as I complain about aging and the time slipping by.... I'm at least keeping so busy with teaching, training, baking, running a B&B, building relationships with friends and family....that I don't even notice the time slipping away as much. How can I retire? How can anyone retire? I'm in the last 1/3 of my life span, and I'm not ready to hang up the dishtowel or put away the kitchen utensils just yet! Most of all, I'm not ready to 'retire' from doing Yoga and Pilates and low impact aerobics.... I think, if I do that.... then I will age very quickly and not be able to move very much at all. My "fake" knee doesn't bend the same as the original one, I can't jump down and then up to do a "burpee" like we do in the "High Fitness" class at the YMCA, and I can't remember people's names that I have met within the last couple of years (IF) they disappear for awhile and then walk back into my life. All of those 'tell-tale' sign of 'aging' (yes, I dislike that word, and I usually use the word 'mature' when leading senior fitness classes....LOL) lead me to believe, there are some things that we just can't change.... but 'darn it anyway', I'm going to keep doing as much as possible, to at least slow down that aging process..... I will keep moving forward.... and not look back at what I can't do any more.... but maybe there are new goals to accomplish with each year around the sun. Keep doing whatever YOU are doing.... keep that positive outlook on life.....keep finding projects and purpose in our lives - so this all feels like a natural part of living and moving forward on our journey. Have a wonderful holiday season... no matter what you celebrate.... set an intention, make a plan, follow through on those goals... and I'll see you in the New Year 2025!
