Welcome to November! I can't believe where the time has gone? It seems like just last week we were sweltering in the hot summer sun.... and now - most of the leaves have fallen from our trees in front of our house, and I'm cleaning up from Halloween activities. About 300 kids/teens/adults... lol... came by dressed in costume last night.... wow... and the costumes seem to get better and more creative every year. I am so impressed!
Alas.... it's time to move on.... we are headed into one of my favorite months of the year (not just because it's my birthday month) but because Thanksgiving represents so many good memories of families gathered together, and sharing a meal....and add in - a fire in the fireplace, cozy sweaters and warm drinks, and the sound of early Christmas music in the background. I am very much looking forward to hosting a large gathering at my house for Thanksgiving once again this year.
One BIG ITEM on my agenda for this month.... is our PEO Annual Holiday Bazaar. I
happened to be taking the reins of this big event that happens on Saturday, the 22nd of November.... a few days before Thanksgiving... and it affords the opportunity for you to support our P.E.O. Sisterhood in Caldwell that raises money for Educational Scholarships for women. The event is taking place at the local Caldwell Methodist Church at 824 E. Logan Street in Caldwell, Idaho and is open only from 9:00am - 3:00pm. You don't want to miss this. There are beautiful hand-made gifts (great for Christmas) and home made baked goods (perfect for Thanksgiving) - as well as numerous other items for decorating, gifting and enjoying. New this year is our "Vintage Boutique" where you may purchase some vintage (and even 'antique') items donated by many of our members that have collected these incredible finds (can be used for decorating and displaying) over the years. It's an opportunity to enjoy a lunch of homemade soups and the sweet rolls for sale are incredible. Please join me on the 22nd if you are able.... I will be there all day..... come by and say hello and take a look at what is going on....I'd love to see you.
Thank you all for being so supportive and most of all, thanks to so many friends around the valley that sent sympathetic hugs, on the loss of my 20 year old cat, "Maggie Mew". It's isn't easy to lose a 'furry family member'.... but it's getting easier - thanks to all of the well wishers.
Enjoy the month of November...."brrrrr".... DebO
