Happy New Year 2015.
Here’s wishing you a wonderful new year 2015 just ahead of us. We had a delightful Christmas at our house….. as I hope you did too. I was missing 2 of my 3 children, as they are in South Korea, right now. However, we had the opportunity to “Skype” them on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day as they opened some treats and presents that we sent them. We bought way more presents for our five year old grandson… than we should have… but as grandparents we feel honored to get to ‘spoil’ the only one we have.
New Years is here… and if you did not receive an invitation to our New Years Eve party here at the house, and are close by in the Caldwell/Nampa/Boise, Idaho area… please come by between 8pm and 1:00am on January 1st. and enjoy a roaring fire with friends and lots of sweet treats - give us a New Years hug! We will be celebrating with with finger foods and “adult beverages”. (1421 Dearborn Street in Caldwell, Idaho) Just show up… the theme is “Snowflakes and Bling”…. With prizes for best dressed couple and the gal with the most “bling” on her outfit… oh yeah… chocolate and wine and lots of good wishes. This will be a short blog… as I have lots of work to finish before the big night… as well as continuing to teach classes this week (except for Thursday, the 1st of course)… so check out the schedule….and the special community class that will be starting in a few weeks. No matter where you are at midnight on the 31st and into the 1st of the new year…. Don’t forget to sing… “Auld Lang Syne”….
Should old acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind? Should old acquaintance be forgot, and auld lang syne?
CHORUS: For auld lang syne, my dear, for auld lang syne, we’ll take a cup of kindness yet, for auld lang syne. And surely you’ll buy your pint cup and surely I’ll buy mine! And we’ll take a cup o’ kindness yet, for auld lang syne.
